Since the moment I read about 3d printers, I knew I had to have one. Of course, the first ones were a little out of my price range but finally, I decided I was going to build one myself. I bought all the parts, had another person 3d print the pieces I needed to get started and I began assembling. Shortly thereafter, my wife and I decided to move to Southwest Iowa to be closer to family and I put the project on hold. However, during the weeks leading up to the move, I found a DaVinci 1.0 3d Printer on Craigslist for $350. The wife gave me approval and it was an early Christmas for me. And again, due to the move, it sat in the corner, untouched for over a year.
I’ve recently gotten it out of storage and set it up at my fathers store and started printing. The initial prints were OK but nothing to great. I read up on how to level the bed and spent almost 3 hours getting it 100%. Since then, the prints have been pretty good. Not production quality, but good enough for my needs for now.
